Exploring and Promoting Gravel Routes in Wisconsin and Illinois.
We are back again in 2023 to showcase some of our region’s best gravel routes that are close to home, challenging, and worth grabbing a buddy to try out. This year, we will have 1 event at Wheel & Sprocket Appleton! Join us to ride a course with other gravel-biking enthusiasts on 5/6 for an Alleycat-style gravel ride. Otherwise, all previous route options are available for you to download, learn more, and enjoy on your own as training rides and weekend adventures.

Why is gravel bike riding gaining such popularity? We think we all like to take the road less traveled. To get a little gritty, to push ourselves, all while enjoying the simple pleasures of a bike ride. The gravel community is a great one. While there are amazing gravel events across the country, Grassroutes Gravel is tailored for us located in the Midwest- particularly where Wheel & Sprocket folks have our roots- here in Wisconsin and Illinois.
